Welcome to the Myers Park High School Band website!   As president of the Band Boosters Board, I would like to share my enthusiasm and my emphatic endorsement of the band program.   

My family has been involved with MPHS Bands for the past six years.  One year, we had all three children marching and playing in the concert bands.  To us, the band is our “home” within the large and bustling school that is Myers Park.  The kids have made lasting friendships during the long hours of practice and performance.  They were welcomed from the start and then learned to welcome and encourage others as they came into the band. They learned what it means to work as a team member and to strive for excellence.  As parents, we quickly shared in the band community spirit and made new acquaintances while helping with the many committees.  Our kids have begun to graduate and move on to college but we have kept our adult friendships and we look forward to many more years of supporting Myers Park Bands.  The time our children spend in high school flies by quickly but the memories that are made by being a part of the band are lifelong.
